All over....for the moment

Now awaiting a bone scan, but the horrible fact of the matter is that UTMB is off for me. I still can't run a mile without swelling and pain in my left knee.

It goes without saying that I am completely gutted by the way this year has turned out, but I am trying to be philosphical. My life is blessed in so many ways. Although running is a big part of it, it is not all of it. And I will run again! Just got to have some serious time out while we get to the bottom of what could be wrong with the knee.

So this blog will continue to be very quiet for a while.

Thanks for stopping by and GOOD LUCK with your running.

Phil

Phil,

What can I say, really gutted. What's your plan now in trying to get a diagnosis, road to recovery route?

Pamela is still suffering with 'knee', comes and goes but 2 miles the other day and it was sore - she's really worried about supporting me from Kinlochleven, so we'll just have to see how things go.

Hope you find an answer soon.

Phil, my heart goes out to you. I've been following along a long time now and anxiously waiting for you to get your TMB experience. Hopefully a diagnosis will be made soon so you can get back on the trails. For those of us who run, our time out on the trails is a catharsis and something we need. Having that taken away leaves an empty void in our soul. Hang in there and stay positive. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

hadn't checked in here for a while, but had been enjoying following your journey, really sorry it has had this hiccup, but hopefully you can enjoy your cycling during the recovery time.

Any update on the knee, Phil? I hope your spirits are still up and you can return to running soon. Still thinking about you and hoping for a speedy recovery.
